Princella, Tractatus 7
“Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent."
The relationship between art and psychoanalysis is long. Psychoanalysis, like conceptual art, approaches the nervous breakdown of modern society, a "...liberating, demystifying treatment of a human relation, and the fundamental illusion of man's experience." It was, in fact, Andre Breton who first identified hysteria as a mute, subversive protest against authority; and it was Freud who authorized the hysterics distance from one's culture, norms, and roles in order that identities and identifications can be undone.
