Le Dollhouse

Denise Prince Photography

Penelope and Eloise enjoy Le Dollhouse

Krazy Kat Club

Sarah wonders how much larger she can grow before her head touches the ceiling

Leo tells the bear stories until late in the night

If you ever wanted a bird to land on your shoulder and sing you a song, come sit in Le Dollhouse.

While childhood fantasies of what adult life would be do not hold up in a modern world, pretends are important.  Knowing what is real and what is pretend is more difficult than it sounds.  Denise Prince has been making the fantasies we have of who we are explicit throughout her career.

Le Dollhouse is a space in which to indulge the pleasure of wishes, to acknowledge their tangible power and then to leave, returning to a world in which much is asked of us that, as adults, we are prepared to stand and face.
